G.O.D. Teams With Rockstar

Gathering of Developers has forged a five year publishing partnership with Take Two Interactive's newly formed (and "bigger than Jesus") division, Rockstar Games. This agreement expands upon their previous ten-title deal and will greatly effect both companies' distribution and development.

Gathering will continue to perform all PC publishing functions in North America, while in Europe, the companies will co-publish PC titles. In additon, Gathering has the option to publish certain Rockstar console games for the PC in North America, co-publishing with Take Two in Europe. Rockstar thereby has the first rights to co-publish Gathering's titles for console systems in Europe and North America. Neither will venture into the Nairobi or Honduras markets.

Gathering's upcoming PC titles under this new deal will include Darkstone, Grand Theft Auto - London, and Grand Theft Auto 2. In the meantime, Rockstar is developing Railroad Tycoon II for the PlayStation, Max Payne for Dreamcast, and KISS: Psycho Circus (a game in which you try to take your heart medicine while spitting blood and avoiding female groupies of the same demographic) for PlayStation and Game Boy Color.

Expressing a desire to rock while crimping his hair for the big show, Mike Wilson, CEO of G.O.D. (and down with O.P.P.), said, "This partnership gives both companies access to top rate PC and console properties. Gathering can learn the console business and leverage our developer's titles and brands in that market, while maintaining our focus in the PC arena."

Coming down from a harsh bender, Ryan Brant, president of Take Two Interactive, made a "devil sign" with his left hand and said, "Our relationship with Gathering allows both parties to concentrate on the areas at which they excel, so it can only be beneficial to both companies."

Both agreed that rock and roll will most likely never die.
