Square Soft has posted pictures of its upcoming rereleases, Final Fantasy Collection and Final Fantasy VI, for the PlayStation. Too bad we'll probably never see them here. Now a new generation of gamers will never have a chance to experience these awesome titles. Heck, we'd buy them for the new CG sequences alone. There are no new graphics other than the CG sequences, so expect a tear of nostalgia to drop from your eye if you ever play them.

The FF Collection contains the three Super Famicom classics: FF IV, V, and VI. There will also be a special edition of FFVI released seperately, but details are sketchy as to how it is different from the Collection version. At any rate, have a look at some pictures of these games in action, and lie awake at night hoping that Square answers our pleas. Final Fantasy Collection and Final Fantasy VI PS should be hitting stores sometime this spring, after the release of Final Fantasy VIII.
