Acclaim stopped by the office today and brought in Revolt, a new RC car racer for the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation being developed by Probe. Since it's not due till July, the version we played today is still quite early, but it did give us a chance to see the tracks and cars. The physics in the game aren't exactly perfect yet, but they are fairly close to real remote control car racing. The tracks we saw are very reminiscent of Motor Toon Grand Prix, with miniaturized items and wacky textures. At this point, we can't say much about the gameplay as none of the competitors are on the track, but there was a beach ball to bounce around. Before Revolt is complete, Acclaim plans to put in some Mario Kart-esque weapons and a multiplayer mode (4-player on N64, 2-player on PSX).
