Games set in the Might and Magic universe have sold around 3.5 million units to date. 3DO hopes to add a mess of fuel to that fire by releasing Crusaders of Might and Magic for PlayStation this summer.
Crusaders will be a 3D real-time, action/role-playing game that cuts a lot of the standard RPG flak, like talking and walking. The game will feature a variety of playing fields and claustrophobic corridors. Monsters, characters, and other objects will be modeled and animated in real time at over 30 frames per second, with quests leading the player through medieval fortifications, lush forests, desert canyons, icy caverns, and high-tech ruins.
So, if you've always hated simulated human interaction, get ready for action with Crusaders of Might and Magic.
