Look At Me Now 2003

I'ts been a few years and I felt like I left you hanging, so here is an update of my "life". I am currently a junior at OHS.

Ski Team is My Life!

March 2003 I participated in the Nastar Nationals at Park City, Utah where i finished 7th overall. For a complete story on that event click here From there you can also view my highschool races. This is a photo of me racing on course at the Nationals that many US Ski Team stars signed.

Recruited to OHS Track Team

Upon my arrival back from the Nastar Nationals, I was recruited to the track and field team for my school. Having never participated in this before, I was not sure what I would excel in. It was soon decided that with my strength and build I would be doing shotput and discus. I also ran a few 400 relays as well. By the end of the season I had secured several medals in these events, with Discus being my best event.

Varsity Football 2003

I have played Varsity football since my freshman year in highschool. I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to stay on JV..But coming from a Class D school the "big guys" are always needed up on the Varsity squad. Remember when i was 200+ pounds 4' tall in the early years? Now I am 215 lbs, but almost 6'1"... what a difference that makes! I did that all between my 8th grade and freshman year.

Positions Played

My positions were OG and DE since 7th grade, however about mid season I tried nose guard. Coach said I found a home there as I really messed the other teams up.

Practice,Drills and Plays

! We made every drill count at practice. We had lost a couple of real heartbreakers and had a point to prove!

Put Me Back In!

At the Fife Lake game,we had 20 points in the first quarter.By mid 2nd quarter the coach started pulling the Varsity out and putting the JV in as the score was 48-8! It's great that the JV got to play, but i really wanted to keep playing.

Homecoming 2003

Well, I was voted as the Male Junior Class Rep.The best part of that was the fact that I was driven through town in a red camero ss.We beat Vestaburg that day too, 27-6. They were 5-0 before we shut them down.

Onekama NHS/Red Cross Blood Drive

Oct. 31st, 2003, I donated blood for the first time.Infact, quite a few of the football players did.The Westshore Chapter of the American RedCross said they were down to just a one day supply of blood. My type O blood was a gold mine according to them!Hit your back button for now. I'm still adding things...Christopher..My Index pageAnd don't forget to check out my Updated 4-H page!
