Religious Analysis

Religious Affiliation

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I do believe in most of the principles taught by it though at times I do question principles usually ending in a larger testimony of them. Note though that this is not always the case, at least yet. For example, many insist that all evil is the work of Satan. I feel that some of it is, but also that some is caused by the frailties and carnal nature of man. In our current state, that is an inherent trait and there is no need for any external force to create it, but could possibly enhance its effects

On a related note, I attend Brigham Young University which is a university owned and managed by the church.

Other Religions

I do believe that other religions contain truth and that they are not all completely false. Many of the aspects I like from them are also present in my church but are not emphasized as much.

• Wicca/Witchcraft - I like the fact that they revere nature and are willing to tolerate other religions. They are very respectful and have a simple but nice honor code that while it doesn't live up to the church's standards, it is a step up from the rest of the world.
• Buddhism - Buddhism is nice because it emphasizes personal spirituality. Although they do not believe in God like we do, many of their meditative and intrapersonal practices could very likely enhance the life of anyone.
