Alyssa Balkin, M.Ed.
Ms. Balkin is a teacher of the visually impaired in the Early Intervention Program at the Overbrook School For the Blind. She received her M.Ed in Visual Impairments and Multiple Disabilities from Pennsyvlania College of Optometry.
Dael Cohen, M.P.H.
Ms. Cohen is the Transition Services and C.A.P. Coordinator at Overbrook School for the Blind. She provides transition services for the 14-21 y.o. age group, as well as coordinates mental health services. She reveived her M.P.H. from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Sandra Finkel, M.S.,M.Ed.
Ms. Finkel is the Outreach Coordiantor for Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia, PA. She is also Camp Supervisor/Coordinator for Camp Nock A-Mixon in Kintnersville, PA. She received her M.S. in Vision Rehabilitation and her M.Ed. in Education of the Visually Impaired from Pennyslvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, PA.
Thomas M. Glaser, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Glaser is an Assistant Investigaor at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute studying the genetics of mammalian eye development. He is also an Assistant Professor for the Department of Internal Medicine and Human Genetics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Glaser received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Natan D. Kahn,M.D.
Dr. Kahn is an Oculoplastics Fellow with the Department of Ophthalmology at West Virginia University Health Sciences CXenter. He has been working with Dr. Pete Mathers and Dr. John Linberg on the importance of the Rx gene in anophthalmia. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas-Southwesten Nedical School, Dallas, TX.
James A. Katowitz, M.D.
Dr. Katowitz is an Oculoplastic Surgeon at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He is also Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Orbital Reconstructive Surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the Scheie Eye Institute. Dr. Katowitz received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA.
Kevin V. Kelley, BCO, FACO
Mr. Kelley is a Board Certified Ocularist practicing in Philadelphia,PA. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Ocularists, as well as various committees. He has received two patents covering the Self-Lubricating Ocular Prosthesis.
Joseph A.LeGrand, Jr., BCO
Mr. LeGrand is a Board Certified Ocularist with LeGrand Associates in Philadelphia, PA. He has served as both Co-editor and Senior Editor of the Journal of Ophthalmic Prosthetics.
Ms. Murphy is an Orientation and Mobility Specialist at Overbrook School for the Blind who works with the 3-5 y.o. age group. She received her B.S. in Education of the Visually Impaired and Elementary Education from Kutztown University. Ms. Murphy is also certified in Orientation and Mobility from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
James Merritt, M.D.
Dr. Merritt has a private practice specializing in Pediatric and Adult Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He serves on the Medical Board of the American Society of Ocularists and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Southwestn Medical School, University of Texas Medical Center, Dallas, TX. Dr. Merritt received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, TX.
Adele Schneider, M.D.
Dr. Schneider, Director of Clinical Genetics at Albert Einstein Medical Center (AEMC)in Philadelphia, PA, and Director of the A/M Registry, Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Jefferson Medical College. She attended medical school at Witwatersand University in Johannesburg, South Africa and was a fellow in Genetics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PA.
Elena V. Semina, Ph.D.
Dr. Semina is an Assistant Research Scientist with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. She has been working with Dr. Jeff Murray on the importance of the PITX genes in eye development.
