Hail, and well met, traveler! Welcome to the home of The Fellowship of Mahal's Fire. We are part of the House of the Silver Deeps. What is that you ask?
The House of the Silver Deeps is a house for Middle-earth, the new online game being developed by Sierra FX. The game is set in the world of Middle-earth, from the books "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien. Houses in ME are what is traditionally known as "guilds" in other online games. The term "house" is used simply because it fits better within the atmosphere of Middle-earth.
Mahal's Fire plays a special role in The House of the Silver Deeps. The House is an organization of Dwarves, and is open only to members of that race. The focus of Mahal's Fire is to pay special attention to the lore and knowledge of the Khazâd, and to see that its traditions are preserved. The rest of the house carries strong beliefs along these lines, and it is the work of the Fellowship to ensure these ideals are secure.
Like the rest of HSD, FMF is a forum for role-playing. While no one will stay in character 100% of the time, we aim to do so as much as possible, and encourage others outside the house to do so as well.
