Part VII
Chapter 1: Path > Object To Path

Certain objects in Inkscape have special properties, and are not edited as a typical path. Text objects and Live Shapes need to be converted with the Object To Path to be edited with the Node tool the same as a path created with the Pen, Pencil or Caligraphy tool. Text that has been converted with the Object To Path command is no longer edited with the text tool, and a Live Shape that is converted to a path is no longer edited with a Live Shape tool, and the node tool only affects the selected nodes.

This manual is my scratch pad and development site for the Inkscape documentation project. Documentation that appears here may eventually work its way into the official Inkscape documentation, and changes to the Inkscape documentation may work it's way into this draft. It is a work in progress, so please don't mind the mess. Anything that appears here is GPL'ed under the usual licenses for GPL documentation, yada, yada, yada, or has been dedicated to the public domain.
