Shir Ha Leila was sired by *Simeon Shai imported by the Shai Alliance in 1989 from Australia and bred by Marion Richmond of the Simeon Stud. *Simeon Shai had an astonishing show career as a multiple Class A show Champion, but in 1991, he accomplished more than any other stallion could hope to achieve by winning Scottsdale Champion Stallion, Canadian National Champion Stallion, U.S. National Champion Stallion and World Champion Stallion at the Salon Du Cheval (Paris) in ten, short months. A feat that has yet to be repeated by a straight Egyptian stallion. His record as a sire is truly phenomenal. His national champion sons and daughters are treasured show horses and bloodstock the world over. Among his International Champion progeny *Simeon Shai is proud to include Shaia+ - Canadian National Reserve Champion Mare & U.S. Top Ten Halter, Forever Shai - Supreme Champion Mare E.A.O. Championships, SFR Shai Princess, dam of Pashahnata - U.S. National Champion Western Pleasure Futurity, Infinety - Regional Champion Show Hack, Country English Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure and English Pleasure, Simeon Shuala (exported), VP Sheique - Regional Champion Dressage, Hunter Pleasure and halter, and a host of others too numerous to mention. Simeon Shai was out of Simeon Safanad, an outstanding producer and dam of Simeon Sadik of Halsdon Stud in England, Simeon Solomon, and Simeon Stav of Australia as well as several mares retained by Simeon stud for their broodmare band.

Shir Ha Leila is out Shir Shalom, an incredibly beautiful broodmare and Class A Champion. Shir Shalom is sired by The Minstril, a U.S. and Canadian National Top Ten Champion stallion, an Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Stallion, and many times Class A Champion. His siring ability is without question one of the best with International, National and Class A Winners on seemingly every continent in the World. The Minstril is proud to include Thee Desperado, 1994 Reserve National Champion Stallion and Schzarad Thundor, a 2001 U.S. National Champion Jumper, 1999 U.S. National Reserve Champion Jumper, three time Scottsdale Champion Jumper, Region 7 and 8 Jumper Champion and, perhaps more impressively, a three time Champion at the 20/30 Club Invitation Jumper Classic (Albuquerque) where he competed against 18 hand warmblood's over four foot fences without downing a rail. The blood of The Minstril is to be found in Champions through several generations as he was a consistent progenitor of quality. Shir Shalom's is out of Amiri Sanaa, who was sired by The Egyptian Prince, is dam of Thee Maistro (exported) and a notable producer for James and Judy Sirbasku. Amira Sanaa is out of AK El Sanaa, dam of multiple Class A Show Champions and exceptional produce the world over such as Sabiell (exported to Al Shaqab), BSA Sanaada (exported), Imshania (exported), El Saniel (Imperial Stud), Bint El Sanna (exported). AK El Sanaa is sired by Mosry+++ (Legion of Merit) who sired Imperial Mistry (dam of Imperial Imperor, Imperial Impress, Imperial Imtiara, Imperial Nafisa, and Imperial Mistalia). AK El Sanaa is out of *Deenaa, dam of Ahir (exported), Imperial Fanniya, and Bint Deenaa (x *Ansata Ibn Halima). Bint Deenaa was dam of Anaza Bay Shah, Anaza El Farid, Anaza El Nizr - all three exported (and Ibn El Mareekh).

Shir Ha Leila has been a show horse and achieved Top Ten in limited showings. We are both fortunate and proud to have her in our small band of broodmares.
