Since one of my passions is working with computers, I figured I should devote a portion of my site to the subject. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Grand Valley State University. I previously work as a Unix System Administator. Being a "System Administrator" means that I spend my time making sure the computers are working, and working correctly. Some of the job is reacting to problems, but we also try to plan preventative maintenance and create tools for monitoring and maintenance. The "Unix" part of the title means that I work with Unix-like Operating Systems.
My current job is teaching computer courses at a local community college. I teach everything from "this is a mouse" to "this is how to create a web-based application referencing local databases to allow customers to purchase products online."
Anyhow, someday this portion of my site will have random stuff about everything from programming language comparisons to tips and tricks and geeky fun. If you have any questions (or suggestions), feel free to contact me!
