Referral: Several clients have taken their
ferrets to this practice for emergency care. Most have been extremely
pleased with how ferret knowledgeable the vets and technicians were.
Help was not always possible due to how dire the situation was for the
ferret, but clients have been confident that the practice was able to do all
that was possible in the situation. The practice promises that someone
who can treat ferrets is always available, and indeed that has been our
referrers experience.
Important note to remember: this is an emergency clinic and as
such, the cost of after hours care can be astronomical - so be prepared!

Referral: Dr. Carmona was recommended to the
shelter for years from several long time clients, but the practice was a bit
far for us to visit regularly for some time. But recently we've begun
using this practice exclusively, so Dr. Carmona is now Motor City Ferret's
regular vet. His other clients were simply mad about him and we know
why - he's just a wonderfully caring veterinarian! The shelter
critters routinely have him scratching his head over the latest strange
health issue, but of course that's routine! The office staff is
terrific as well. All in all this is a well run practice that we're
always comfortable and confident taking our critters to!

this new clinic and have had occasion to visit with a shelter guest as
well. We were extremely pleased to find such ferret knowledgeable vets

Referral: Many clients have referred Dr. Wilson
over the years. He works out of two offices; the Sterling Heights
location and an office in Romeo. We're not sure how that schedule
works out, so best contact the Sterling Heights office to inquire.
We've had different sorts of referrals about Dr. Wilson over the
years. One client summed it up best: "Clients either love
him or hate him!" Apparently his hammock side manner can leave
something to be desired to some folks, but we've never heard anything but
totally positive comments about critter care - up to and including the most
serious ferret health issues and surgeries. We mention so no one is
surprised, for Dr. Wilson does sound like a well experienced ferret vet who
gets the job done well for the critters!
