A fun time was had by all at our 2006 Ferrets, Folks & Fun Fest! Saturday, October 14 was the big day for hooman beans and weezils alike. We enjoyed good eats, weezil romping fun with dozens in the playpen, great shopping and silly contests and games. Many thanks go out from us shelter folk to all our volunteers who helped the day run so smoothly, as well as all of our guests. We sure hope you enjoyed the Fest and hope to see you next year! |

Fun games and contests spiced up the day, and this year brought a couple of upsets! Our winners four years running in Heaviest Chubbster and Longest Tail categories were upset! So the drama will only ramp up until next year, 'eh? As predicted, Sphinx "The Enormous" was a hefty challenger and did indeed win the day for Heaviest Chubbster. Big Lug is so large in fact that he waddled away with Longest Tail as well! Newcomer Pookie Chisolm used her rotund physique to her advantage, while Snickers came out on top of some awfully fluffy competition to win for Best Coat! As for the races, Dulce narrowly prevailed over Luke Long-Tail (but not long enough to beat Sphinx - HA!). Meanwhile, Badger helped his Dad win the Ferret Jockey Race, and Dad was also carrying his young hooman bean as well! What a Dad! :) |
