MONTH-BY-MONTH HIGHLIGHTS

11/10/95- Mike Kelly/Ray Roberts vs. Outlaws was best match. D-Lo Brown begins his quest for the GLW Title with a tourney win over Harry Knuckles, now known as Professor Maxwell. Skull Ganz & Cherri debut with a victory.

12/15/95- Steve Nixon and Reckless Youth(debuting in GLW) has a great ladder match. Skull Ganz had an impressive match with D-Lo Brown. Stickboy, the Rudos new manager, and an incompetent ref help Calavera Cortez advance in the Light Heavyweight Tournament. Dread & Rock Stevens defeated Ray Roberts & Tommy Starr. Hard Knox defeated Sean Brown & Brian Rollins, who later became Blue Meane in ECW.

1/12/96- D-Lo Brown became the first GLW Champion. GLW held the first-ever Bunkhouse Rumble. Mike Kelly won to earn a February title shot vs. D-Lo. Nixon, Cortez, and Rico Rodriguez face off in Round-Robin bouts featurning the first Rudo vs. Rudo bout which Rodriguez won. All three had 1-1 records.

2/9/96- It was a night of guests. Dan Severn came to the show and in a big suprise, Mike Kelly put off his title shot to let Al Snow wrestle D-Lo Brown for the GLW Title. They treated the fans to a great match. Calavera Cortez became the first Light Heavyweight Champion by winning a triangular bout with Steve Nixon and Rico Rodriguez. Skull Ganz defeated The Deathdealer. Killer Keith debuted, teaming with "Big Dawg" Gaza Kalman Jr.

3-8-96- Steve Nixon pulled double duty as he finally won the Light Heavyweight Title and also faced Reckless Youth in another great bout from them. D-Lo Brown beat Mike Kelly to retain the GLW Title in a great, hardcore match with two tables broken. Scott Hunter (D'Amore), with help from Terry Richards, defeats Skull Ganz.

4/12/98- Crippler Ray Roberts suprised everyone by upsetting D-Lo Brown for the GLW Title. In another suprise, Terry Richards, with help from Gideon Wainwright, defeated Mike Kelly. Tex Monroe defeated Deathdealer. Now reformed referee Jeffrey Scott debuted. Steve Nixon retained the Light Heavyweight Title with a win over El Fuego.

5/11/96- Deathdealer won the vacant GLW Title. AT Huck forced The Outlaws, Woody & Bobby Lee to face one other. Mike Legacy turned on the Outlaws to help Los Rudos win a rare singles to tag to six-man bout.

6/21/96- GLW held its second Bunkhouse Rumble with Judge Dread winning. Bobby Clancy defeated Steve Nixon for the Light Heavyweight title. Los Rudos interfered in a Skull Ganz match.

7/19/96- Mike Kelly/Skull Ganz team up to face Los Rudos. Match ends in chaos when the Outlaws crash the match. Steve Nixon, frustrated over not getting a return match for the Light Heavyweight title, attacked referee Jeffrey Scott and causes both Bobby Clancy and Mike Legacy to pin each other. The title is held up. The Gypsy makes a suprise debut in GLW and costs Dread a match, starting a fued between The Gypsy and Gideon Wainwright. "Annihilator" Gene Austin debuts.

8/23/96- Outlaws defeat Knighthawk & Skull Ganz in a wild, No-DQ bout. Steve Nixon is suspended by AT Huck for attacking Jeff Scott. Nixon is forced to become a referee for the next three months to know how it feels like to be a ref. Mike Legacy defeats Calavera Cortez for the Light Heavyweight Title. Cold Brothers Ice and Stone, plus Larry Destiny make impressive debuts. Bo Lewis wins a great match against Cold Brother Ice, kicking off the Colds/Gideon vs. Bo fued. The Cold Brothers also make their tag team debut with a victory. Gypsy and Killer Kanareck tell Killer Keith to change names.

9/13/96- Mike Kelly defeats Deathdealer for the GLW Heavyweight Title in a lumberjack match. Calavera Cortez wins the Light Heavyweight Title in a great match against Mike Legacy where a ladder was a legal object. Reckless Youth and Don Montoya have a great high-flying, hardcore bout. Gideon/Colds win a 6-man bout.

10/11/96- Skull Ganz/Knighthawk gain revenge on The Outlaws by winning a match where the fans provided foreign objects to be used. Rudos and the Cold Brothers have a fast paced bout filled with great action with Ricco Rodriguez scoring the pin. Steve Nixon refs his final match under suspension. AT Huck removes Nixon after a questionable call. An enraged Nixon, with the help of Gene Austn, attacks both AT and Mike Kelly after the bout. Nixon becomes the first referee to execute a moonsault while wearing the stripes.

11/8/96- GLW holds the first-ever Ultimate Showdown match (8-man elimination with a stipulation for each fall) to crown a new Hardcore Champion. Skull Ganz (the winner), Reckless Youth, Don Montoya, and Calavera Cortez are the final four wrestlers in the match and play a big part in making The Ultimate one of the best matches in GLW's history. Killer Kanareck defeats Killer Keith for the "Killer" name. The Rookie of the Year tourney begins. Cold Brother Ice defeats Bo Lewis.

12/13/97- Outlaws beat Mike Kelly/Knighthawk in a No-DQ match. The Hardcore Title ends up being vacated after a controversial ending. Larry Destiny wins the Rookie of the Year tourney. The Gideon and Cold Brothers vs. Bo fued takes a serious turn after Gideon breaks a bottle on Bo's head.

1/17/97- Reckless Youth wins the vacant GLW Title and ends his fued with Don Montoya, winning an excellent two out of three falls encounter. Jimi V makes his GLW debut against Calavera Cortez. Bo Lewis concludes his fued with Gideon Wainwright by powerbombing him through a table. For the vacant Hardcore tite, GLW's third Bunkhouse Rumble is won by Dirty T-Ex.
