I knew you to little to cry but to much to beleive it was true.
I remember the day vividly, i was only 11 but i knew who the Grateful Dead
and Jerry Garcia were. I dident know his full name and i couldent quite name
3 albums but did remember hearing my brother listening to it. I like the music
very much. I woke up the usual late and walked downstairs in a daze. My brother was
watching tv so i decieded to join him. The news headlines were all "Jerry
Garcia dies" Grateful Dead band member lost" I remember interveiws with
deadheads on tv and i remember my brother making fun of the dead heads
by using the phrases "Man" and "Ya' know" excessivly in his sentences. I
simply forgot about it and went on with my normal 11 year old life. When i
turned 12 i decieded to give the Grateful Dead a try. I heard them on the
radio and borrowed a cd. I quickly memorized Truckin'and Friend of the Devil
of "The Best of Ckeletons from the Closet" Soon after that i traded my Bob Dylans
greatest hits cd (A great cd if i could recomend it) for Skeletons in the Closet.
I looked them up on the net learned all about them and sooner or later bought
Go To Heaven. Now i own several more albums and love each and every one.
Among my favorite are...
Touch of grey.
