Debra Pawluck was formally trained to work with sexual abuse and sexual offender behaviors under the direct supervision of Matthew Rosenberg, MSW, CSW. Her speciality areas include:
Many clients find Debra's clinical approach and treatment style very comforting and effective. She demonstrates dedication to her clients as well as compassion and empathy. She has a firm yet supportive approach, and assists her clients in discovering the answers to their own problem areas.
Debra graduated from University of Windsor (Ontario, Canada) with a duel degree in psychology and social work. She completed her Masters of Social Work at Wayne State University. Finally, she has been accepted at the University of Toronto's Ph.D. program in Social Work, and has credits beyond her Masters.
She is currently the senior clinician in Aurora Hospital's School-Based Program in Highland Park, Michigan. She conducts phone and online consultation for Rosenberg & Associates, and forensic evaluations for various attorneys and jurisdictions.
Her interests include research and writing, the therapeutic relationship, improving the modality and quality of individual psychotherapy, prevention, community awareness, the effects of sexual abuse, and working with children and adolescents. Her articles and research have been published in The International Journal of Eating Disorders and the Social Work Journal (N.A.S.W.).
Debra is under the firm belief that people (adolescents and adults) can recovery from sexual abuse, addictions, and eating disorders. She knows this by her personal struggles and accomplishments with regard to eating disorders.
