"Temptation Waits" -- Garbage
7/1 -- The only Buffy episode that mattered this year, "This Year's Girl", reruns Tuesday, July 11, 8PM on the WB.
6/27 -- Have I mentioned how utterly, utterly cool Harry Groener is? Well, I haven't mentioned it nearly enough. :) The man who would be Mayor very graciously sat down with me and my friends for over two hours in New Harmony Indiana this June and answered our questions and posed for pictures and numerous other sparkly kind deeds. He is honestly one of the nicest people I've ever met, star or otherwise. I have a complete account of the trip coming, in the meanwhile check out these nice crunchy pictures we took. Gawd, he rocks so much.... :-)
6/25 -- New: a massive Buffy fanfiction project, the 5th season as written by fanfic writers! Cole is heading this project, of which I am proud to be a part. It's looking for good fanfic writers to write a season's worth of fanfic episodes in which the Buffy gang journeys to Washington D.C. to avert demons taking over the White House. Laugh at the unintended irony... and then e-mail Cole at Scream32x@aol.com to get on board.
6/16 -- OK! Those of you still using our little entrance page may have noticed it doesn't lead here anymore! That's because this site is undergoing a huge redesign courtesy my new and very gracious friend Evil Willow. :-) The new site will eventually *only* be available at http://www.geocities.com/shuvcat/cityhall.html so please redirect your bookmarks and so on there. All the integral parts of this site will be kept, and hopefully improved upon (we're hoping to rig up some kind of jukebox in here, for example.) So stick around for that. We've been here for over a year, it was about time for a change. Much, much thanks to Ayla for making it possible!! :)
Please consider joining the Union of Buffy Musical Supporters! If there's any justice in the world, Harry Groener will be singing in the Buffy Horror Picture Show by year's end..... :)
4/30 -- I would like to take a personal (but on-topic) moment to talk about a very cool thing that happened to me recently. After lots of prodding from a friend, I wrote a letter to Harry Groener (who, like I have to say, plays Mayor Wilkins on Buffy :) and mentioned that I'd written this fanfic about the Mayor (it was Courting Disaster) and if he ever had the inclination and the time, he might want to take a look. Well, he said he'd love to read it and that I should send it to him. And...... this past week I got a letter from him saying he really enjoyed it. *** :-D ***
I was, needless to say, thrilled to death. 'Courting' was my first serious attempt at Buffy fic, and it's special to me out of the other ones I've done. I know it's not my best, but I love it. To have the "main character" of the story ask to read it, and then say he liked it too, was a huge, wonderful honor.
Now, PLEASE don't everybody take this as a cue to send your Buffy fiction (or Star Trek or X-Files fic) to the the Buffy or XF or ST actor of your choice. (Of course everybody should definately keep writing it....just don't send it to the actors ;) I'm sure Mr. Groener had many more important things to do than read my story. This ramble is just to say, here is a deeply, infinitely kind and generous thing that this man did, that he certainly didn't have to do, that is more than I've heard of most stars/celebs doing for fans (and more than some members of my family even did). And he has my undying respect because of it. :)
Check out my humble site on the superbly cool Mr. Groener at The Somewhat Official Harry Groener Fanpage.
(And if you're really dying to read it you can find Courting Disaster in the
fanfic section. :)

The Mayor's
Allies

Faith
-- A once good
Slayer gone bad, Faith jumped the tracks to
the Mayor's side after one too many good
deeds went punished. Adopted by the Mayor as
a surrogate daughter, Faith was targeted for
her blood to save a dying Angel, and was put
into a coma by Buffy.
Mr. Trick
-- A kick-ass vampire
with a cool fashion sense, Trick was at first
a loose cannon (they rock the boat you know),
then joined up with the Mayor in
"Homecoming". A formidable villian, he still
went the way of so many vamps -- dusted, by
Faith.
Allan Finch
-- Poor Finch. He
was just a little schmuck of a deputy mayor,
kept his nose to the grindstone, didn't
question orders. Unfortunately he too met
his demise at the business end of Faith's
stake. (Gee, almost every cronie of the
Mayor's has been gruesomely killed...by
Faith. Do we see a pattern developing
here?!)
Principal Snyder
-- Actually,
calling him an ally of the Mayor's isn't
quite accurate. Snyder is weird, no doubt,
and he more often than not defers to the
Mayor's (usually phoned-in) requests. But
when he saw that the Mayor was invincible (in
"Choices") he looked as shocked and horrified
as anyone. Overbearing to the last, he was
devoured on Graduation Day by the Mayor in
demonic snake form.
And finally...Wesley?!!
-- He's not in
with the Mayor. I just think he's cute. ;)
Hey, we've been awarded!!!

A heck of a lot more Sunnydale
