=A Bridge at Daybreak=

Floating thin threads, silver grey, spun from dew

Still laying heavy and soundly sleeping
On cold, bare ground; rise, drift and slowly creep
Until woven by night's dark hand on looms
Stretching across still, deep running waters.
Daybreaks- and the sun quietly rises,
Exposing now night's misty mystery,
Kept from our view so long by dark's hours,
The fog's blanket covers a long bridge span,
Pulled loosely across a body of steel,
Whose arms outstreched gives link from shore to shore.
A warm comforter, for longing lovers
Who part at day and go their way and stand-
So far apart, but joined by now bridged hearts.
