Rebatching Instructions

The instructions I follow are from Soapcrafters, I have tweaked them slightly.  First I rebatch in crock pots, this works for me every time.  This is for a batch of approx 3-1/2 lbs.

I use about 5 cups of soap shreds and approximately 3 cups of milk.  (In a 3.5 crock pot the shreds should come all the way to the top and just a little higher.  Start with 2 cups of milk, you can always add more fluid if needed).  I use ONLY whole milk, I have tried it with 2% and 1% and it just doesn't work as well.  I turn the pot on low and let sit 1 hour.  (I have 2 crock pots that run hotter than the other 4 so the other 4 sit for an extra 15 minutes).

Stir after the first hour.  When stirring make sure you scrape the sides and the bottom, just like making cake batter!  I then stir in 15-20 minute intervals for the next hour.  Once I get to the creamy stage, I add my butters, let sit for 15 minutes then turn off, add EO/FO's and pour into molds.  I always put mine right into the freezer, also.  I have tried the oven method and it just does not work for me.  I have never tried the microwave method.  The crock pots give me just what I am looking for so I stay with this method.
