Stacking Characters
Finally, a word on making new characters. Since it tends to be disappointing for some players to lose an experienced character and restart with a brand new clueless neonate, here are some proto-rules for creating new characters after the loss of an old one.

Any player may have one preproposed character that is given to the StoryTeller. When creating a new character in preparation for the loss of a current one, (not simple retirement, or pathetic suicide unless for good in game reasons which are the StoryTeller’s decision); you may with StoryTeller permission; use any number of your player points on the new character as regular freebie points.

Example: When Steve's character was killed in a duel with a Lasombra, he had already earned a total of 8 player points. He was allowed to spend all of them as freebie points on his next character, but he chose to only use three of them on his next character.

Further information on the new player point system is discussed at the following site, Player Point System.
