Enter course 10: Snowman's Land, then allow yourself to be blown off the top of the Giant Snow Mountain -- you will lose you cap. Once you've lost the cap, you can warp between the two trees near thge frozen pond. Each time you warp, a new cap will appear on top of the first one. If you collect the cap after doing this, you'll see another cap on the ground. Collect the second cap and Mario will hold onto it until he exits the level.

These are the locations where you can find all of the castles secret stars.
SECRET STAR 1 - From the main lobby, go up onto the right side of the balcony and through the door with a star on it. You'll find yourself in a room with three walls and a stained glass window on each. Jump through the window that is on your right as you enter the room. You're now at the top of a giant slide, so simply ride the slide to the bottom, collecting the coins along the way. The star is at the bottom in a little box.
SECRET STAR 2 - From the main lobby of the castle, head to the door that leads to course 3. Now if you position Mario so his back is pointing toward the entrance of the course, you should be able to see two black holes on either side of the door you just entered through. Walk to the one on the left and use a backflip to jump in. You are now in a huge fishbowl like tank, collect all the stars that are all around and you will get the secret star
SECRET STAR 3 - Once you have collected 15 stars, head down to the dungeon of the castle. You'll find a small yellow rabbit running around in the halls. You must grab him to recieve the star - this is harder that it sounds! Try to chase him into a corner, then slowly close in. As he tries to get away, tap the attack key to grab him. Timing is essential. The reward is the Third secret star.
SECRET STAR 4 - When you have the big key, head to the entrance to Course 6 - it's found in the far right corner of the castle dungeon. Now walk through the room and sown the hall towards the well of silver that serves as the entrance to the course, but don't jump in. You should see a fuzzy coloered toad standing in the corner, go and talk to him and he will give you the star.
SECRET STAR 5 - Once you have 50 stars head back down to the dungeon, were the rabbit has re-appeared, grab him and get the 5th star.
SECRET STAR 6 - when you have the second, head to the section of the castle that holds the entrance to course 10 through 13, walk around and you should see another ghostly version of toad standing there, talk to him and he will give you a star.
SECRET STAR 7 - 50 stars must be collected to gain this star. Head to the room with the clock level ( the very top of the castle). As you walk through the door you should see toad over to the right, talk to him and get a star.
SECRET STAR 8- for this star again go to the room with the clock, there are two square holes in the walls on either side of the room. Go to the one that has the shaft of light coming out. Jump down in the hole and collect the 8 red coins to receive the 8th star.
SECRET STAR 9- For this star go to the level where you meet bowser for the first time, collect all eight red coins and the star is yours.
SECRET STAR 10 - This star is found in the course that leads to the second encounter with bowser, get into that level and collect the 8 red coins, it's as easy as that.
SECRET STAR 11 - go to the course where you encounter bowser for the last time, collect all the coins in the course and you will get the 11th secret star.
SECRET STAR 12 - This star is a little harder than other, I would type the whole thing but I dont feel like it, go to the green switch palace, get the three red coins that are on the big slide, the two that are across the bridge, and then get the metal cap and walk along the bottom of the water to get the rest of the coins and you will get the star.
SECRET STAR 13 - This star is hidden in the blue swith palace, you have to empty the water in the moat and then go out there and jump down the hole on the bottom. Slide down the slide to collect the three red coins there and then go through the rest of the level to get the other five. After you get the pixel cap, walk through the fence and claim your prize, the 13th hidden star.
SECRET STAR 14 - To get this star go to the red switch level, which is in the sun in the main lobby. When you enter fly in a counter-clockwise manner and get the coins. They are in pairs so they wont be too hard to get. You only get one shot at it so if you miss you have to start the level over. After you have collected them all, the star appears by the red switch.
SECRET STAR 15 - This one is where the fist secret star is located, the big slide. However you have to make it downin less than 21 seconds (HINT: you have to jump of the slide at one point and land further down to win this star)
