What existence must our society have in this material world is the cardinal issue before us. We are to know that it is the world where there is the problem of exploitation of men by men and we are not an exception to this. It is altogether due to the system we live in. Therefore, it is true that the problems of disparity and the concomitant evils which have resulted from exploitation cannot be solved by any amount of benevolence and benefaction. It is the system that has to be checked or abolished and lead the people into a new one where there is freedom from the fear of economic exploitation and political domination and suppression. Of course, we shall not struggle for the stage of perfect equality simply for the factual reason of impossibility.
Nagas are living in a society of primitive and unregulated free enterprise and it is this system that amply affords the reactionary traitors and the rich free-hand to exploit the poor and the masses in general. The naked armed invasion on us by India and Burma that marked the beginning of enormous influx of Indian capital and its prominent roles and activities in our society, have created wild conditions. The concentration of capital in a few hands and its constant investment for acquiring more capital has set the whole society on tremendous swing of exploitation of the Nagas by the Nagas and the Indian parasites. The existence of class distinction is more prominent than ever before. The exploiting class consists mainly of the reactionary traitors, the bureaucrats, and a handful of rich men and the Indian vermin. They have practically no concern for the masses nor for the survival of the nation, but interest themselves in the exploitation of the people and the retention of their status. Consequent upon their identity in interests with those of the exploiting rulers of India, they are identified with the Indians in various issues of life and as they are accomplices, the government of India is always behind them. On the other hand, the masses are the victims of the trouble; they bore the brunt of the long attack. It is undoubtedly to their unyielding endurance that we owe the survival of the nation today and it shall be so for all time to come. They are also the victims of exploitation, they are daily exploited everywhere. The contradictions that exist between the two classes are such that there could be no meeting points emerge. In the first place, the free existence of Nagalim is a must for the salvation of the people. In the next, the abolition of exploitation of the people is imperative if the people are to assure themselves of their future.
The fact that the sacrifices and the efforts of the people alone could withstand and save the nation from external invasion is beyond dispute. But in spite of this standing fact, we are poised with the question - For whom the nation, saved by the sacrifices and the efforts of the people, would be? No doubt, it would be for the people alone. However, the actuality of this would be borne out solely by the system that would be implemented. To us, it is definitely SOCIALISM basically of our national brand that alone can assure the fairest to the community as a whole as it is the only social and economic system that does away with exploitation and oppression. Moreover, we are profoundly convinced of the course of human society to socialism, that is, the inevitability of socialism from the struggle of the two irreconcilable classes. Without this salvation in socialism, we promise no future to the people. We betray them to no hope, they are made beasts of burden. Thus the dictatorship of the people through a revolutionary organization for the realization and safeguarding of the free-existence of Nagalim and for her economic salvation in socialism is absolutely indispensable particularly at the initial stages. Any force, therefore, opposing it, would obviously amount to being anti-national and anti-people.
