Chocolate Decadence

We are big fans of Chocolate Decadence for dairy-free chocolate. They are in Eugene, Oregon and have a strictly dairy-free operation. Their sweet chocolate is wonderful, and they make both large- and small-shaped chocolates--so your dairy allergic child can have a chocolate rabbit (or dinosaur!) for Easter. Their cowboy rabbit is just adorable. Their customer service has been terrific, too.

Chreese

I tried their Mac and Chreese and was really dissapointed. It doesn't even come close to the "real thing!" Their products are now offered at Canadian e-stores which would help with the shipping costs if you are in Canada.

Ener-G Foods
www.ener-g.com
Reviewed by: "A."

This website offers goods for the diet restricted--low protein, gluten-free, and dairy-free, and recently they have made their facilities nut-free. The website offers more offerings from this brand than can be found in health food stores. They have gluten-free loaves, hamburger buns, dinner rolls, and even hot dog buns. The breads come in different types with different ingredients, such as: Seattle brown, tapioca, white rice, brown rice, and citrus-free.
The orders arrive quickly and are in vacuum-sealed packages. The products require no refrigeration until they're opened, so packages can be left at the door if no one is there to accept them. They also make Ener-G egg replacer that has no eggs, milk replacer, gluten-free flours, baking mixes, gluten-free bread crumbs, and pretzels. Sometimes they offer specials--products at a discount; or for mail orders over a certain amount, a free product. If you use any of their products, check the website, there may be more choices than can be found in your local shop. They also offer two sampler kits of gluten-free foods and breads so you can try some new things without buying a whole lot.
Ingredients of items are also listed on the site, and I havent seen them not match what is on the product (yet) .

Gluten Solutions
www.glutensolutions.com
Reviewed by: Melissa T.

This store caters to people who cannot have gluten in their diets. As someone with multiple food allergies, there are very few foods I can eat in the catalog (less than half a dozen). However, the company does an excellent job at shipping out items almost immediately after an order is placed. In my experience, the ingredients listed online and in the catalog have always completely matched up with the ingredients on the label. However, I think more variety needs to be available before I would widely recommend the store, unless people are merely avoiding gluten (which is the store’s intention after all). If I were someone only avoiding gluten, I would give this store five stars.

Kinnikinnick

Reviewed by: Mylène

Kinnikinnick has both an American site and a Canadian site (excellent for not paying extra at the border!). They have a really large variety of foods that are gluten-free, but also provide the ingredient listings for most of their products. They have a good line of casein-free+gluten-free products that are clearly identified. I have ordered a few few products from them (donuts and cookies) and have found them to be really good (and they freeze well too, so I can order more and save on shipping costs). They also ship pretty fast, which helps when you a good craving (some of their products are now offered locally in stores).

Miss Roben’s
www.missroben.com
Reviewed by: Melissa T.

Miss Roben’s is an attractive website with an even more appealing “hard copy” magalog (a magazine-catalog geared toward moms) for people with various eating restrictions. The catalog is so nice that I saved one from a few years back! The website lists ingredients online (with a nifty search feature), and the catalog also lists the ingredients. On two occasions I've ordered products only to find that, when they arrived, they contained my allergens (which weren't listed in the hard-copy catalog or online ingredient lists). However, due to the exceptional catalog and the vast variety of offered products (especially kid-centered products--I'm a kid at heart!), they are a don't miss, and I give them
