Login.cfg help

The biggest problem people usually have with the
login.cfg is editing it correctly.
First, this is what your login.cfg should look like to play on the KRYNN
server:

;Loginservers for Ultima Online ;Do not edit this file or patching will fail! Always save a backup. ;LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775 ;LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775 ;LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776 ;LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776 LoginServer=***.**.**.***,2593

The * is where you would put the new server IP address. Your Login.cfg looks like this when you FIRST open it:

;Loginservers for Ultima Online LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775 LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775 LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776 LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776 ;Do not edit this file or patching will fail! Always save a backup.

All you have to do is add a ; in front of all the current LoginServers.
Then add a text line that says LoginServer=***.**.**.***,2593
where the * is u put the IP number. If everything is done correctly
it should look like the first example. Always remember to SAVE YOUR CHANGES

Account trouble

If you cannot login be sure to double check your
login.cfg. Incorrect login.cfg is the #1 cause for login problems.
If you still cannot log in make sure your client version is the latest
from OSI. If your client is right, your login.cfg is right, then TRIPLE
CHECK how you type in your account. ONE wrong letter or
a cap where you should have had a lowercase and it will create
an entirely new account. Still can't login? Ask me because now
something is seriously not right.

Crashes

Crashes usually occur once and a while and there isn't
much I can do to stop them, it just happends occasionaly.
Sometimes your UO will crash and if that is the case just
relog on and u should be fine. If the server crashed I will
either send out a message to when it is back up or just check
back in a bit and see if it is up. Occasionally a crash occurs
that is extremely serious where something is wrong with the
actual world. To fix these I have to kick EVERYONE out of the
server so the GMs and counslers and find the problem and fix it.
Please be patient with these they sometimes take hours and usually
minutes. If one of these occurs I will send a message to everyone.

want to play normal UO eh? =(

It is easier to change yer login.cfg to play UO
than it is to change it to play my server. All u have to do
is add a ; in front of the text line for my server and delete
the ; in front of the LoginServer=login.owo.com,777* text lines.
it should look something like this:

;Loginservers for Ultima Online ;Do not edit this file or patching will fail! Always save a backup. ;LoginServer=209.18.27.204,2593 LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775 LoginServer=login.owo.com,7775 LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776 LoginServer=login.owo.com,7776

And thats it, just save it and login back to UO.

What are Race Gates? How do you find them?

Race gates are moon gates that change your
characters flags/settings to the stats of the race you are
trying to join. Currently there are no race gates since people
would accidentaly walk through one but we are re-scripting
them and they will be available to new characters shortly.

If you are a draconian or elf, do you look like one in the game?

If you walk through the race gate for your race it will alter your appearance
accordingly. The only problem is that for elves, dwarves, and kender I cannot change
the actual model of your character. You have to wear clothes appropriate your race
to look like it. We are currently scripting special clothing/items to make this easier.
If you are a draconian or ogre when you walk through your race gate it will change
the ID of your body to that of a colord/normal lizardman or an ogre. Therefore you
will always know if someone is a draconian or an ogre because they will actually
look like one =).

Currently there is no map for anything. Any players who want to make a map please let
me know and I will put it on the website.

How does one join the ranks of KOS, KOT, etc.?

Find the guild leader and ask him to recruit you on the stone. Each of these guilds
has certain requirements you must meet in order to join. Again ask the guild leader about
these requirements.

Any new game features different from original UO?

Yes we are trying to make it as close to the actual Krynn world as possible!
Some of these features include a very complex/flexible race/guild system allwowing
you to be in a race and a guild at the same time. We will have race/guild specific items
as well as items specific to the world of Dragon Lance. The cities will (eventually) look much
different than OSI cities and the RP enviroment will be much richer. Also, one of our latest
features, is that of player owned shops IN-TOWN! If you are a tradesman (such as tailor/blacksmith)
and you want a shop of your own ask a me and I will personaly help you set up your shop for FREE.
The only requirement for this is that you have atleast 75% in your trade's skill and that you
physically be at your shop a good part of the day. (you can't sell anything if yer not there)
Guilds will also be able to siege cities and conquer territory setting up your own little hamlets

Yes we are constantly adding more spawns. Our current conversion to SPHERE messed up ALL
our spawns so we have to remake them. Currently some of the dungeons have been fixed but we are working
as hard as we can at replacing the spawns.

What point in DL history does it take place?

Krynn currently takes place right after the War of the Lance. We are creating our own Krynn future

Yes but only will be present in Quests and played by GM's
