Randazzo is the nearest town to the summit of Mt. Etna (visible in the distance) but has never been engulfed by any of it's eruptions.

Randazzo, which is strange mix of honey-coloured limestone and lava buildings, sits in a wild and virgin landscape, living an isolated and precarious existence: a place to glimpse the essence of rural Sicily.
