These wind-swept rocks lie west of the town, near the ruins of a Roman Villa.

They are covered with small walkways.

Due to the fact that this natural phenomonen doesn't have a roof I hesitate to call it a 'grotto'...

...but it was great to get down there and watch the water swell and then retreat rhythmically.

Marina Puolo is a beach about half an hour west of Sorrento.

Sorrento is practically the last place on this side of the bay of Naples from where you can see Vesuvius.
