Situated in the English Channel, south of England and west of Frances Cotentin Peninsula, Jersey is a popular island destination for tourists. These ferry services are suited to those traveling on foot as well as those taking a car with them. A regular schedule of ferries departs from Poole and Weymouth on Englands south coast, taking approximately four to five hours to arrive at the port in Saint Hellier, the islands capital. The airport can be found in the south of the island, close to the southwest town of Saint Peter. From the airport, visitors have a number of transport options, including buses, taxis, hire cars, and even chauffeur services. In addition to walking, Jersey offers a large number of other pursuits to enjoy.
