My name is Dave Blankenship, and I have what might be a very unusual or very common request. Please find enclosed a self addressed, stamped envelope. I would like you to pick up whatever you have handy, autograph it, place it in the envelope, and drop it in the mail. I am not looking for an 8 by 10 glossy here, and I am certainly not asking for anything that would have any private information. Maybe a grocery store receipt, or a chinese take out menu you have lying around, perhaps the page you just ripped off from your page a day desk calender, whatever you have handy, that you've actually used, and won't mind sending through the mail. I plan to scan these items and place images online the at a website I have built exclusively for this purpose.

I recently decided that I would send letters out to several celebrities and other noteworthy individuals with a connection to my hometown of Winston-Salem, NC (or just the Triad in general), just to see if I could get ant responses. I think it'll be an interesting experience. Please respond soon.
