This site is what you will use as your "test site." You each have a subdirectory that you can use to put your files into. Create your HTML on this site, make sure it is looking good and is functional, and then give it to me for uploading.
You have different options for getting me your files. Probably the best one is to have them saved on a folder on your flash drive and get it to me during class. There is also the possibility of emailing it to me, although we will need to see our email capabilities here at school (gaggle. net, igoogle, etc.)
Assignment #1
Create an "about you" web document. You should pick an avatar that will go on all future pages. You may use a pseudonym, or just your first name if you want. DO NOT post personal information such as phone numbers, home address, email address, etc. You should post stuff about your interests, stuff you think is cool, and anything else you can think of. This page does not have to be real long, but it should include text, graphics, and hyperlinks. You should also format it to look as good as possible! I will be showing you ways to do that as we progress.
Every page that you create will have your avatar and a link to your personal page on it. Users will be able to click on this link to read a bit about the page's author-you! For example: at the bottom of any page I create i will have this:
