We live in the Las Vegas desert where tap water is incredibly hard. Anyone who's experienced it first hand knows that it leaves mineral deposits on everything. Sometimes it reeks so strongly of chlorine it about knocks you over. Oddly enough, we can make coffee with tap water with no discernable difference, but when we make tea with water from the tap, we call it "swampwater" because this yukky, scummy stuff floats on the top.

The water delivery guy said that our water is perfectly safe to drink, it just tastes bad. I thought it was nice how he didn't try to sell me a bill of goods, about how I would glow in the dark and sprout another head or something if I kept drinking it.

This is so bad--did I say 20 years?--and I realize that I'm not sure whether their water comes from a spring or not. (I guess I don't care too much, do I?). It just tastes a lot better. Looking at the cooler now, it is from natural mountain springs; That explains it.

I don't think it is very expensive at all but it is certainly cheaper to buy it in the supermarket and lug it home. It's such a pain in the butt. I'd rather economize in other ways and splurge on this. I'm pretty OCD, did the math, and it comes out to about $1 a day.

I am very satisfied with the water delivery las vegas service, and have gotten to be friends with my delivery guy. I'm an airhead and can never keep track of the delivery schedule, so half the time I don't have my stuff out and don't leave money for him. I chose the three 5 gallon plan a month, and wasn't ever using the last bottled, so he was nice enough to downgrade me without a hitch. If you miss him, you can always reschedule a delivery as well. The tend to be flexible if you're friendly.

To sum everything up, switching to home water delivery was probably one of the better decisions I've ever made. The convenience alone is worth the monthly charge. I don't have to worry about lugging heavy water bottles or packages, and don't have to drink sketchy tap water. I'd definitely recommend at least giving it a test run. You'll get hooked, trust me.

I should probably end with mentioning the website that originally set us up. The URL is

http://waterable.com/nevada/las%20vegas-nv

. There's also a rolling special always running. With every new order, you'll receive a free water cooler and 2 free cases of 24 pack .5l bottles. That really sealed the deal for me.
