Luna laughed as she flew high up in the night sky.  A trail of stardust left her body as she flew over the moon, passing it over in an ark.  She then stopped abruptly and looked back at the night satellite.  She reached over with a hoof and picked up the entire moon, bringing it to her mouth and taking a big chunk off it.  She looked upwards as she tasted the celestial body she had power over.

"Mmm...Moon cheesecake!"

She took another bite and then left the semi eaten moon hanging in the sky.  She resumed her flight above Equestria.  Being the mistress of the night meant being the master of dreams, and she enjoyed patrolling her own domain every night.  She dove into a river below within the Everfree forest and made a ripple on the water as her body went through.  She then appeared within a city of Equestria, dressed in a fancy midnight blue dress and her mane picked up in a stylish fashion.  She procured an umbrella colored in purple and pink colors, and opened it to shield herself from the sun.  She trotted around the fancy city, nodding to both gentlecolts and extravagant fillies as she passed them by.  The sweet aroma of coffee reached her nostrils as she turned over to a coffeeshop established at the corner of a street.  She entered through the glass door and collapsed her umbrella, leaving it inside a pot that included other umbrellas from other customers.  She cantered to the cashier where a chocolate brown mare earth pony with a peculiar hat and a red bowtie smiled at her.  Luna smiled back and peeked at the pony's nametag.

"Hello...Coffeebean?  Yes, I would like to have an extra large expresso with vanilla bean extract and a dash of the strongest chocolate you have."

"Right away, ma'am!"

Luna waited as Coffeebean moved at the speed of sound getting her order ready.  Within seconds, the pony held the expresso to her; while her body was vibrating due to the speed she handled the order.  Luna levitated the expresso and took a sip through the foam, leaving a makeshift moustache as she licked her lips.

"Oh, that is just divine.  How much I owe you?"

"It's on the house!  Come back soon!"

"I will!  Thanks."

Luna picked up her umbrella on the way and exited the coffeeshop, wandering through the marvelous city and sightseeing everything surrounding her.  There were balloons decorating the sky,  Pegasi making cloud shapes above, ponies on stilts walking along the streets, a little filly walking a manticore on a leash.  Yes, it was a great day to visit the city.  Luna made a turn and walked over the edge of the street, which connected to a river canal built within the capital.  Before she stepped over the edge, a large sea serpent appeared, allowing her to walk across the river to the other side.  When Luna reached the other side and walked on the street, she turned to give thanks to a very gallant mustachioed serpent, which bowed in turn and then disappeared inside the river.  Luna began walking on top of a staircase connected to a building all the way up to the rooftop.  As she neared the top of the building, she began hearing cheerful music and ponies chanting.  She trotted on the rooftop and reached the edge of it to see in the distance a great parade of many strange creatures marching down the street.  Some of them resembled appliances, others had huge heads on top of tiny legs carrying them, and there were multicolored ponies with musical instruments happily adding music to the mood.  Confetti was raining all over the place.  Luna smiled and nodded to the music as she admired the parade.  She then stared at a giant sized Celestia balloon being dragged by minotaurs at the end of the parade.  Luna placed the coffee cup on the floor and clapped her hooves at the spectacle.  She stopped clapping however when said balloon stopped midway, and its head turned to look at her.  Luna raised an eyebrow as she noticed this.

"Luna..." the Celestia balloon said "You will not win this fight."

"What?"

The Celestia balloon's head contorted and started changing shape as it emitted rubbery sounds.  It soon took the shape of a light blue unicorn's face with purple eyes.  She glared at Luna and smirked.

"You think you can defeat Trixie?  You will do no such thing!  Trixie has already the higher ground and you will not prevent my conquest!  Now perish!"

Trixie then opened her mouth and spewed a stream of fire at Luna.  Luna shielded her body with her hooves, bracing for the impact and when it hit, darkness engulfed her.
