Welcome to my site. What you will find here is anyone's guess, even my own. When I started this site I did not have one specific goal or theme in mind. What I can tell you is that this site will be not only about national issues, personal pet peeves, and opinions, but also about problems in my local county: Ashtabula County, Ohio and also problems in my local community of Conneaut.
I am known for being highly opinionated and outspoken, sometimes to the point of being called mean, when in reality I am just being brutally honest. I am a former police officer and I feel very strongly on a number of issues and topics.
Some issues I feel strongly about are child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, the death penalty, gun control, and the overall state of the nation's economy which we all know is not doing very well at the current time. The question is: Will things ever get better? No one really can tell at this point. But I do believe that all law abiding citizens should have a right to arm themselves to protect their lives, those of their families, and their property in such an unsure time as the one we are in now. Honestly, how bad can that belief be, when a local judge suggested that township residents arm themselves since law enforcement is spread so thin here in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
Other things I find disturbing is the fact that the jail is operating at or below capacity due to layoffs. Currently there are 700 people waiting to serve their sentences because the jail can only hold a certain number of inmates at a given time.This is really disturbing because people are going to think its ok to commit crimes because it could be years before they serve out their sentences.

As mentioned one thing I feel strongly about is the abuse and neglect of children. Though I will provide links to various services and agencies that can help children, some of the stories I put here may not be suitable for their viewing. I will provide as many helpful and informative links as possible. However, I do encourage anyone suffering abuse of any kind to CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY IMMEDIATELY because you have the right to be safe in your own home and your children have the right to be safe in their home as well.
I am also a strong supporter of our military, though I would like to see all of the men and women return home safely, I know that they are doing a wonderful service by protecting our country.
Also, I am a strong supporter of law enforcement - gee, imagine that. And I believe that the men and women who put their lives on the line every day so that we may sleep better at night deserve our thanks and gratitude, those who die in the line of duty should be mourned by all.
