Greetings, my name is Valentina and I am currently a student at American InterContential Univeristy via their online program. I am in the process of obtaining my Bachelors in Visual Communication with a concentration in Digital Design. Prior to doing graphic design I was studying Fashion Design. I really enjoyed doing fashion illustration, however I wasn't all that thrilled with sewing. The more time I spent in the field trying to build my love for it, the more I lost the passion. Choosing not to waste my time and money, I decided to look at fields where my artistic skills and love for computer graphic/animation software would be a great reward and hopefully one day make it a career.

Throughout my time and going through the various courses at AIU Online I was able to find my passion for the arts again. Learning and using different design softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Image Ready, InDesign, Macromedia Flash 8, and Dreamweaver made me realize what I want to specialize in. I really like using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create posters, flyers, brochures, and other print designs, however. Being able to solve difficult problems may be hard at first but when I get it done it was all worth the agony. I am referring to developing a web site and creating movie clips. Using Dreamweaver and Flash 8 allowed me to go from print to digital design. Eventhough I perfer solving design problems with print ads, learning to covert those hard copy ads to digital art work is well worth the work.
