Mood:  chillin'

So....here I am. This is my first attempt at a blog here on Angelfire. Understand, I'm not new to blogging, but I'm new here.

A little about me...I'm an English teacher in the Bronx. I've been an English teacher for 13 years and wouldn't trade it for any career in the world. Well, maybe I would if I could be a marine biologist specializing in Great White Sharks....BUT, my science grades sucked (thanks, Mr. Daniels!) and thus, I am an English teacher.

I'm a total Bones fan...much like I used to be a total Scarecrow & Mrs. King fan. There are many similarities between the two and perhaps some day I will do an in-depth comparison. I also enjoy music. I've played piano for 31 years (oh my God, I'm old!) and I love music. I mostly enjoy classic rock...Eric Clapton, Santana, The Eagles, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, and so much more...but I also love Frank Sinatra, Meatloaf, Barry Manilow, Marc Anthony and many more. Really, the only music I don't much care for is Rap. I'm also a huge Star Wars and Indiana Jones fanatic (Hell, I wrote an entire curriculum around the epic hero and Indy) and enjoy going to Renaissace Faires dressed as a pirate. I'm into Shakespeare and fantasy, sci-fi and the supernatural. I enjoy wine and Guinness and LOVE traveling.

Hmmm....I guess that's enough for now...especially since no one will really be reading this. Meh....a blog is for me anyhow!
