US1 Lacrosse League
About the League
The US1 Lacrosse League is a not for profit
high school lacrosse league designed to give high school age boys in northwest
St. Johns County the opportunity to play lacrosse during the off season on a
non-school team. US1 Lacrosse League was developed using direction from
the FHSAA Handbook (see policy 22 below). The league, its coaches and
players are affiliated with the national organization, US Lacrosse. The
participants in US1 Lacrosse League come from Bartram
Trail, Creekside, and Nease High Schools.
The league runs in periodic six to eight week
sessions from the first week of May through the second week of January.
Practices focus on skill development and players are grouped with others based
on their level of development. On league game days, players are divided
into 7-on-7 teams that provide the most competition and fun. On game days
players get the opportunity to try out different positions.
This is a recreational league designed to
give players the opportunity to stay in shape and continue to build their
skills. Participation in the league is completely voluntary.
Players are not required to participate in this league in order to play
lacrosse at their high school during the spring season.
Schedule
Practice days are typically Tuesdays and
Thursdays. League game days will typically be on the first and third Tuesday
of each month. Since many players are also participating in other sports
or activities, attendance at 100% of the practices is not mandatory in order to
play on game days.
League
Registration Fee
The cost to participate in the league is $100
per player for each session. Details of the league costs will be provided
upon request to parents of league participants.
