Hosting a plethora of hawker stalls and seafood eateries, Jalan Alor is considered as one of the most bustling roads in Kuala Lumpur for its cuisine. Situated just behind Jalan Bukit Bintang, it is a most preferred       after the clubbing dining spot in the Golden Triangle area.

Though food at the air-conditioned restaurants is really good and cost saving, yet the hawker food is highly recommendable. KL is home to a variety of amazing food available in Jalan Alor the barbecued meats, noodles and desserts are some of the best (affordable cost) in the city. Most of these cuisine cannot be found in sophisticated restaurants, and even if they are, they are rarely as yummy, so hawker stalls are a favourite on the city’s foodie side.

Travel Suggestion: Arrive in Kuala Lumpur by booking an express bus ticket online from redbus and letting the roads bring you close to these beauties. The online bus booking option creates huge convenience in terms of money and time. Moreover, you get to choose from a wide range of buses and seating

arrangements.

Known as the cultural fireplace of the local cuisine, you shall rarely spot tourists here as largely due to its ‘hidden’ physical position. At the food stalls the dishes are prepared in a furious fashion (with delicious smells coming from the frying woks and boiling pots) and served on plastic plates in a pattern of rainbow colours. Most hawker stalls have picture menus, making ordering easy.

It is advisable for you to grab a table somewhere in front of any Restoran from the top of the street and then walk along and order your dishes from the diverse range of hawkers. Must try the fried oyster egg from Restoran Wong Ah Wah, a thin and crispy omelette with plump and saline oysters that is served with fresh coriander leaves accompanied by a chilli sauce that gives it a tangy, spicy touch. Yum!
