Toril Toran is an El-Aurian. He is tall and slender. However, he is physically much stronger than he would appear. This could be due to the ten years he spent on Vulcan.
As with most El - Aurians, Toril is very quiet and reserved. His sense of humor is slightly dark, and many of his crew qiuckly realize his wit is razor sharp. He loves to listen to fresh, new ideas, and often reacts with enthusiam. He is extremely patient, and often makes plans years in advance. He has a great deal of experience in many things, which he happily share with others.
His first solution to a problem is always negotiation. He has recieved many awards for calming a seemingly impossible situation.
Toran is very slow to anger. However, once his anger is raised, he has earned a reputation of being relentless.

Background
   
Before settling on Earth, Toril Toran explored the galaxy. He spent time on many planets, including Andoria, Vulcan, and Kronos.
Toril Toran arrived on Terra ( Earth ) around 2058.
When he arrived, he found a world which was devastated by genetically engineered madmen ( This occured prior to his arrival - Circa 2053 ). However, dispite these tragic events, he still thought that the people of this planet held promise. That promise was almost extinguished when World War III occured. It was only by chance that Toran survived. That hope was rekindled in 2161, when The United Federation of Planets was formed.
Toril Toran joined Starfleet in 2165.
Vice - Admiral Toran has served in Starfleet for more than two centuries, and still serves in Star Fleet Intelligence

Vice - Admiral Toran makes his home in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Toril Toran 's Career
 
2165 - Joined Starfleet
2169 - Because of his previous experience, Toril Toran Graduated 1st in his Engineering class. Ensign Toran was assigned to Starbase 14 to design ships.
2173 - Promoted to Lieutenant (JG)
2177 - Assigned to the Daedalus - Class starship, the U.S.S. Explorer NCC - 201, Commanded by Vash'Bal'Ato (Andoria).
The Daedalus - Class was Retired in 2196.
2181 - Promoted to Lieutenant. Assigned to Constituition - Class Starship U.S.S. Regent, commanded by Captain Robert Greene.
2183 - While on assignment on Andoria, a bomb was detonated in the Klingon Consulate. Lieutenant Toran rescues two Klingon Officers.
Toril Toran is severely injured, and almost dies. Toran spends the next 10 months in recovery.
Starfleet Awards him the Legion of Honor. Promotes him to Lieutenant Commander, and makes him Chief Engineer of the U.S.S. Regent.
Klingons award him the Medal of Kah'less, and the Order of Kronos.
2185 - While Toril Toran was on vacation on Vulcan, the U.S.S. Regent was attacked by an unknown ship. Despite being badly injured, Captain Greene managed to destroy the attacking vessel.
However, 64% of the crew were killed, including Gru, the Tellarite First Officer. Toran was recalled to duty, and Promoted to Commander.
2188 - Promoted to Captain. Takes command of the Daedalus - Class Ship U.S.S. Discoverer , NCC - 191 (8 years)
2196 - Takes command of the Hermes - Class Scout Ship U.S.S. Samuel De Champlain, NCC - 593 (14 years)
2212 - Takes command of the Destroyer - Class starship U.S.S. Loki NCC - 529 (10 years)
2222 - Takes command of the Constitution - Class starship U.S.S. Endeaver NCC - 1716 (16 years)
2240 - Takes command of the Constitution - Class starship U.S.S. Mirazh NCC - 1788 (14 years)
2254 - Takes command of the Constitution - Class starship U.S.S. Rigel NCC - 1824 (12 years)
2268 - Takes command of the Constitution - Class starship U.S.S. Shaula NCC - 1841 (16 years)
2284 - Takes command of the Constitution - Class starship U.S.S. Invincible NCC - 1891 (14 years)
