10 Things You Should Know About TM UniFi

1.    TM Unifi contract is a 24-month contract and there is a termination fee of RM500 if you opt for an early termination within the contract period.

 2.    For all TM Unifi installation, drilling for fibre cable is required.  There is a minimal drilling in your premises so that the fibre cable can be reached into your unit.  You will need to provide your television and 4-socket extension cord to complete the installation. For unit that is currently under renovation, no installation appointment shall be made.  During the installation day, TM Unifi contractors will not proceed if the premise is under renovation.  For additional appointment time, there will also be extra charges. 

 3.    All triple play services (internet, voice and TV) must be activated during service installation. Partial service activation is not allowed.

 4.    TM Unifi is a wired broadband service. Wireless connectivity is an option and is subject to interference and obstructions factor.

 5.    All TM Unifi equipment is subjected to a 12 months warranty period.

 6.    The TM Unifi account owner has to provide valid billing address or postal address. One can select either paper bills or email bills (for those opt for the email bill, one must provide a valid email address). Bill is also accessible at myUniFi (https://occ.unifi.my). TM may impose a minimal monthly charge for paper bill with notification given.

 7.    When you make an appointment for TM Unifi installation, the Unifi account owner or an authorized person need to be available in the premise during the installation.  For the high rise buildings, the account owners has to make arrangement with the management office for the installation permission, internal cabling and access to telecommunication room.

 8.    Free installation is provided for all Unifi coverage subscribers now.  This free installation is only applicable for 45ft cable only.  For installation that is longer than the 45ft cable, there is additional charge to the extra cabling.  This charge will be billed in the Unifi bill. 

 9.    For non standard installation, example like the wiring above ceiling, underground or conceal wiring, the TM unifi account owner can deal directly with the TM appointed contractor or appoint own contractor to work on this.  Payment for this is bare by owner can payable to the contractor directly.

 10.  During installation day, if the customer is unreachable or there is a change of appointment is subject to a charge of RM100. Re-appointment will also be subjected to available time slot.
