The Informationist movie by James Cameron
The Informationist is the new movie that is said to be produced and directed by James Cameron of Avatar fame. This movie is an adaptation of the Taylor Stevens thriller by the same name that was published by Crown in March 2011. This movie is now said to be released by the year 2014.
The plot
The Informationist Movie is all about Vanessa “Michael” Munroe. She is a woman who was born in central Africa and who spent her teenage years as a protégé of gunners and mercenaries. She works as an information dealer for wealthy clients in that place. Then later when a billionaire hires her to find his daughter who went missing in Africa, Munroe finds herself back in the Dark Continent. In this movie the female character has been described as an action heroine with shades of Salander and Sherlock Holmes.
Some sources say that the Hollywood Reporter said that Cameron and his Lightstorm Entertainment banner has picked up the movie rights to the book. And they also say that they did this with the intent of developing an adaptation as a directing vehicle for Cameron at 20th Century Fox.
Landau said in a statement to THR that “This was an opportunity to continue our relationship with Fox and Jim Gianopulos beyond the Avatar films". "We were drawn to this book because of the terrific, compelling narrative and the character, who typifies the strong female protagonists that have inhabited Jim’s work. In this case, Vanessa Munroe is essentially a mix of Lisbeth Salander and Jason Bourne.”
Cameron says "Taylor Stevens’ Vanessa Michael Munroe is an intriguing and compelling heroine with an agile mind and a thirst for adventure. Equally fascinating for me is her emotional life and her unexpected love story." So with all these news the Hollywood admirers are now waiting for this movie that has been scheduled for a 2014 release.
