Time to Clean the Closet

The other day I decided to take on the gigantic task of clearing out my closet. A fact one really should know about me, my clothes are literally like my buddies and I can't stand giving away any one of them. I maintain I can absolutely remember accurately where I got each one and just how much I shelled out for each one of them. I began looking thru the church dresses first, the majority of them were skin tight, far too tight for church nevertheless I convinced myself to hold on to a few of the more expensive outfits.

After that I proceeded over to my night out outfits (I hadn't partied since the forth of July 2009) and yes a lot of them were small now but I did have some really good moments while wearing them so getting rid of them was a little bit tough. After two hours I chose to get rid of all of them but this one very hot mini-skirt I was wearing the night I first met my hubby. I mean, that hot skirt was there for one of the most important moments of my life and I was not about to give it up. My casual, regular clothes were the upcoming victims. I had chosen in March to quit wearing jeans so removing all those wasn't really of a concern.

The difficulty got harder when I began going through my blouses, most of them are sheer which is good for humid Georgia summers months. Finally after almost 3 hrs and getting no progress I chose to search the net and find recommendations, on effective ways to get the chore finished quickly. Thankful that I made that decision too, I clicked on this fantastic website known as Real Simple that pretty much showed exactly how to arrange and clean out my wardrobe. By the time the job was finished, I was definitely satisfied by how neat and well-ordered my closet was and I was definitely elated by having the additional spaciousness that I think might be utilized for storage.

The next action I will undertake is to set up some lights so that the walk-in will be a bit more usable yet not so much to make my clothes lose brightness. I'm also thinking of installing a full-sized mirror inside that way I won't have to step out of my closet each time I try on a different dress. I got all these awesome strategies via Real Simple that is definitely my "must read" whenever I feel I need to reorganize or cleanout my house. The site transformed what was definitely about be a whole day task into a chore that only took a few hrs. I'm both exhausted and content.
