Programming Blogs

Well, learning JavaScript has been a field trip to me. Both good and bad. At times, whenever the challenges are given to me and I do it correctly, I get told that I did something wrong, or I need to add something I already added. I blame the website I'm learing JavaScript for this. Loops are the hard part for me, the browser I use (Opera) sometimes freezes if a loop takes too long to respond. I sometimes get confused on how to fix a loop. I was able to learn HTML/CSS on the website anyway, which helped because now I'm making this website. I hope that by the end of this month I finish the JavaScript class and get a better understanding of Java as a whole.

Retro Tech of The Week: Game Boy Advance

Game Boy Advance

The Game Boy Advance is a 32 Bit (In Graphic Processing) handheld video game console released by Nintendo in 2001 in Japan and North America and in 2002 in Australia and Europe. It was released in 2004 in China, excluding Hong Kong. Although there were competitors to the Game Boy Advance at the time, the Game Boy Advance was able to maintain a majority in market share. As of June 10, 2010, the Game Boy Advance has sold over 81,510,000 units worldwide. It supports backwards-compatibility with the Game Boy and Game Boy Color, along with the second redesign, clam-shell design, the Game Boy Advance SP. However the third and final redesign, the Game Boy Micro does not support backwards-compatibility. Speaking of the redesigns, the Game Boy Advance SP had a back-lit screen (Very overrated feature back then if you ask me) with model #AGS-101 and no headjack port. The Game Boy Micro brought back the headphone jack, but the Micro is for another day. (It could be it's own Featured Retro Tech article)

You can get Game Boy Advance titles on the Nintendo E-Shop, Wii U only. To read more about the systems, along with specs and some other juicy stuff click this link right here. (I also need to give credit).

Currently, there are no requested artwork to be posted. I should mention some stuff anyway for the time being. The image on the right is my profile image. It was compressed to save space on this website (Darn 20 MB storage) but if you click on the image it will lead to you the original, uncompressed image on DeviantArt. You are welcome to request that your artwork can be posted here, however there are some rules you will need to follow, in which you can read on top of the page where it says "Art Requests".
