Tatachilla is an Aboriginal name, given to our local area, and means 'Red Sandstone Ridge'.
The dirt around the area, is a deep red sandstone, hence the name came to be.
We are a boutique kennel, breeding primarily for our own purposes,
with our gorgeous foundation bitch, Manzengwenya Jamilah,
an outstanding representative of the breed.
Jamilah means beautiful and elegant and she has certainly embraced her name.
As registered breeders, we comply with the rules and code of ethics set by
the South Australian Canine association and Rhodesian Ridgeback Club.
Our dogs are fed on a natural “BARF” (bones and raw food)
diet and enjoy their happy rural life.
We live about 5 minutes from the famous Maslin’s Beach and the dogs
enjoy their runs along the beach, along with walks amongst the grapevines with mum.
We love animals, and our other much loved family members are
Baxter (an English Springer Spaniel), Kya (a Rhodesian Ridgeback),
Vienna (our Burmese cat), chickens, ducks,
Bubbles and Toffi (the alpacas) and Honey (the horse).
All puppies are happy in their new homes.
