Why Cardiovascular Technology is Awesome!

For me, Cardiovascular Technology is the perfect career because I love helping people, I love medicine, and I love the opportunities and lifestyle that go along with it. There could be no better career for me than helping people in an area that can be really scary or life-threatening to them. Heart problems can be pretty serious and scary if they aren’t treated and handled in the right way. If someone’s heart were to start throwing off irregular beats, it can be painful and would most likely cause them to be in terrified shock. That is where I would come in. I see myself as a people person and I feel like I would comfort patients when they are scared and ease their fears about procedures such as heart catheterization and even open heart surgery, if it came to that. I could even provide comfort for someone even if I’m just going a simple diagnostic imaging procedure because that’s just what I love. I also love the lifestyle that it can provide because I would be doing shift work and be on call on occasion. I am used to being on call because that’s what I do currently. I am aware that I am being paid for my time and my availability and that when needed, my job should come first. So I’m already born of that fire, but on the days where I would just be doing shift work, putting in the hours and then being done, would be perfect for the lifestyle I currently have. I love bodybuilding and evangelizing, and if I had lots of free time, I could focus on both of those things. I could have lots of time to work out and eat good meals and read The Word and pray. Who wouldn’t want to live that way? I also love to write. Yes, I do, but that’s a secret, so don’t go spreading it to everyone you know. One of my dreams is to get a book published, so the free time that doing shift work would provide me with would give me all the opportunity I need to make that dream a reality. The annual salary that I would make in Cardiovascular Technology would be between 30 and 40 thousand, which would be a perfect amount to live a humble lifestyle with the wife and kids that I plan on having. I don’t want to live in excess because I believe having too much of anything can become a bad thing, and I believe in living within your means, and this career would fit perfectly for me because it provides the lifestyle, free time and money that I feel I need. Also, I feel that I would be a great asset to any hospital because I am a perfect people person and I would love to have lots of close face time with the patients, get to know them, be their friend, and comfort them. Cardiovascular Technology is the Perfect career for me.
