This is the first update for our crew. We now have a website and next we need a server! Please read the following post or visit our steam group for more info on getting a team server!
08.01.2008 - Solidsnake666 - WE WANT A SERVER!!!
All right \superKrew/ members listen up and PM Solidsnake666 or nike sb on this as soon as you can. We're trying to get together a server so we can practice. I've done some research and we have a few different options, all of which allow us to have a team website (which will need to be designed by us) as well as a server (either private or public). Here's a list of the options that will work best for out crew.
Public 20 user server (33-66tic) 19.95 a month
Private 20 user server (33-66tic) 14.95 a month
Public 20 user server (100tic) 39.95 a month
Private 20 user server (100tic) 29.95 a month
If we pay for 3 months at a time we get 5% off the total price, 6 months 10%, and 12 months 15%. Therefore if we get a public 33-66tic server and pay month by month the price for a year would be $239.40. If we pay the 12 months all at once then the price would only be $203.49.
No matter what this is cheaper than me hosting it as finding somewhere to setup the server (that will give us 100tic) will cost me at least $50 a month where I live.
Private servers must always have a password on them and public servers will only have a password when we choose to put one. A public server is much more preferred as anyone can join at any time without a password. We will have full control of maps and map rotation on the server as well as any settings like FF in the game.
I think I've covered everything and if anyone thinks of anything I haven't please let me know.
Finally Nike and I cannot afford to put all the money upfront, especially if we pay for a full 12 months. Ideally we'd like to get a 100tic public server, but this all depends on how much the rest of \superKrew/ is willing to pitch in. Please PM me with any questions or suggestions.
Please let us know. The sooner we get up enough money the sooner we can get a server and team site.

Keep in mind in both cases these are their demo servers. These are the best case scenario and the servers may be slightly slower than these.
