Wakura Onsen

The Wakura Onsen Resort (Japanese: �’Œï¿½€‰æ¸©ï¿½‰) is a resort town on the edge of Nanao, Ishikawa, on the edge of the ocean. It has been rated the best resort in Japan for the last 24 years^{[citation needed]}. It is built around a hot spring (onsen) and has several hot spring baths.

The resort consists of several smaller hotels clustered around the main hotel, Kagaya:

Naruko　Onsen
Naruko (é³´å­ ç”º Naruko-chÅ ?) is a former town located in Tamatsukuri District, Miyagi, Japan. On March 31, 2006 Naruko was merged with the town of Iwadeyama, from Tamatsukuri District, the towns of Kashimadai, Matsuyama and Sanbongi, all from Shida District, the town of Tajiri, from TÅ da District, and the city of Furukawa to create the new city of ÅŒsaki. Tamatsukuri District and Shida District were dissolved as a result of this merger.

Yamanaka Onsen

Yamanaka Onsen (山中温泉 yamanaka onsen^?) is a city located in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan. It is in close proximity toKomatsu. It is famous for its onsen, or natural hot spring baths, and has many ryokan where guests can relax and enjoy the baths. The Daishoji River runs through the town, and it is a popular tourist spot for both Japanese and foreign travelers of Ishikawa Prefecture.

草津温泉（くさつおんせん）とは、群馬県吾妻郡草津町（旧国上野国）にある温泉です。元々、草津温泉のあるところが町になりました。林羅山の日本三名泉に数えられます。江戸時代の温泉番付では東大関（当時の最高位）にランクされ、名実ともに日本を代表する名泉の一つです。

 

Jigokudani

地獄谷温泉（じごくだにおんせん）は、長野県下高井郡山ノ内町（旧国信濃国）、湯田中渋温泉郷にある温泉。近くには、横湯川が流れる。ニホンザルが温泉につかっているところが観察できる地獄谷野猿公苑が特に有名。 日本温泉遺産を守る会によって温泉遺産の源泉かけ流し風呂として選定されている。

血の池地獄

血の池地獄（ちのいけじごく）は、『豊後国風土記』や『万葉集』にもその存在が見える歴史ある地獄。酸化鉄などによって朱色に染まっていることからこの名がある。

 

1927年（昭和2年）には高さ220mにまで達する大爆発を起こしたという。別府八湯温泉道に加盟している足湯があり、地獄の湯を体感することもできる。

 

また湯の沈殿物を利用した皮膚病薬「血ノ池軟膏」や入浴剤など、同地獄オリジナルの土産物も販売されている。2009年（平成21年）別府の地獄として国の名勝に指定。
