The use of glass as a building material was advertised by The Crystal Palace. Because of that great exhibition people were inspired about the domestic usage of glass. It was of late that float glass came to existence. Modern windows are float glass. Almost all float glasses are composed of soda lime glass with a hint of borosilicate.

GLASS AS A SURVIVOR:

Nature gave us glass through volcanic eruptions in stone ages. The fact that it came out of volcanos proves its heat resistance. Since then it has been used to make tools and utensils. People use to beautify them by colouring or infusion it with other chemicals. They were also made into a different coloured thread. Back then one thing led to another; clear glass mirrors to stained glass (glass to which metallic or other impurities had been added for colouring vessels).ST GEORGE WINDOW WASHING took responsibility to clean stained windows.

Glasses were produced in abundance which led to a remunerative trading business, exporting dinnerware, mirrors and other items. Later Bohemian glass (Bohemia crystal) were invented which is a decorative glass produced. It still remain because of constant maintenance by ST GEORGE WINDOW WASHING Company.

Today you see many of medieval architectural pieces around the world displaying unique glass artwork. Even today contemporary buildings prefer glass. Both these buildings are seen maintained by ST GEORGE WINDOW WASHING. This shows the timelessness of glass work.

WINDOWS ARE EYES AND EARS OF A STRUCTURE:

Windows areidentified as an opening in a wall, door, roof or vehicle that allows light and, air and sound.Modern windows are covered with glass. A wooden or plastic frame holds the glass in place. Often attended by  ST GEORGE WINDOW WASHING.Windows often have a latch or similar mechanism to lock the window shut.

WINDOW HAVE A GLASS TYPE

  1. Float Glass: very modern smooth and highly consistent thick glass. This glass type got its name after the process with which it is created.
  2. Annealed Glass: it is a type of float glass but cooled in a slow process in a controlled manner. This allows the glass to be stronger. Because it breaks quickly these are used rarely in buildings.
  3. Heat Strengthened Glass: it is annealed glass, reheated beyond its annealing point. This process makes it twice as strong as annealed glass.
  4. Fully Tempered Glass: fully tempered glasses are formed by taking pieces of annealed glass and make it four times stronger.
  5. Heat Soaked Tempered Glass: a method used to test tempered glass to remove unstable nickel sulphide.
  6. Laminated Glass: Laminated glass hastwo or more layers of glass with inter-layers of polyvinyl butyral. The process creates a safety glass.

There are many window styles to choose from with a huge selection of glasses. If they are perfectly fitted you will have better insulation, solar control and provided safety and security. Glasses are fire resistant. They also allow noise control and are decorative.
