.:: Roleplay Title: An Introduction ::.
.:: Next Match: vs. Ace Garrison ::.
.:: Next Event: WCF SLAM! March 7th 2010 ::.

Sometimes in life our paths seem all too broken, our vision is far too jaded and our actions are so far from right its inexplicable. Sometimes along the way we get lost, and other times we know the way all along. For some people life is but a fairy tale, for people like me life is like the final chapter of a Stephen King novel, where the evil never really dies. Everybody in life goes through changes, and they do things that they often wish they hadn't. I live my life by one expresion and that is "I don't regret, I remember". What does this mean? It means that every action, no matter how good or how bad, is still a memory and I can learn from it. I regret nothing, I only use those mistakes as a stepping stone to learning never to make them again. I have trusted many people, and I have been hurt by many more people. Is this a sympothy story? No. This is my story and one day you may get to read the final chapter.

.:: Out of the frying pan, into the fire ::.

The scene opens.

The rain is falling lightly outside a dimly lit side street, the puddles ripple with the impact of the rain on the concrete. Heavy traffic, some shouting, your typical bad neighbourhood. In the distance we can see a red light shining down from a building and reflecting off the many formed puddles of water in the allyway, we move that way.

.:: Destination Unknown ::.

We reach the building.

Opening the door we see a bar, cheap music playing on the dukebox, no more than 10 people in the building and one attaractive yet under appreciated barmaid probably just working to get by but loves the atmosphere of the whole setup, the fact that every person in the place is there every night and they all know each other as friends. Like a low budget "Cheers" bar.

We direct ourselves towards the barmaid.

When we reach the bar we have a closer inspection of the barmaid, a white vest top, low cut of course and some figure hugging jeans. She makes her way accross the bar.

Barmaid: What can I get for you, hun?

A voice mutters from behind the camera, not loud enough to be heard.

Barmaid: Oh, Steve? He's right there.

The barmaid points towards a man sat at the opposite end of the bar, alone, no drink.

.:: Meeting our man ::.

We take a walk over to the man accross the bar, and upon reaching him take a seat beside him so the camera is on a level with him.

Man: So you found the place? Incase those people watching this don't know, i'm Steve Thunder.

A subtle introduction.

Steve Thunder: Why did I ask you to come here? So that I could make a proper introduction. You see, its hard to get your foot in the door in any federation but the best way is to get under somebody elses skin so much that they are forced to want to kick your ass.

Thunder grins, and waves his arm for the barmaid to come over. As she serves another customer, Thunder continues.

Steve Thunder: Is it arrogant of me to expect the WCF to send out a cameraman to a bar located up an allyway in the bad part of town? Probably. Will that irritate some people? Definately. Is that my intention? Absoultely. Sometimes in life, you have to look past whats right infront of you and see whats just ahead. For me, I have to fight...

The barmaid reaches us, and Thunder stops.

Barmaid: What can I get you, Steve?

Steve Thunder: I'll just have some nuts, and a water for my friend here. Thanks, Carmen.

The barmaid, now known as Carmen, walks away to get those things. Thunder starts again.

Steve Thunder: As I was saying. This week, my first match, my debut is against Ace Garrison. Ace is another new comer to the WCF, with an apparant infatuation with winning? Well guess what? We all have that same infatuation. Who doesn't want to win? I know I do, and I will.

Carmen returns and puts Thunder's things on the bar, as he slides the water to the camera man and opens his nuts.

Steve Thunder: Thanks. Anyway, I have to look past Ace Garrison, I have to see further than some rookie who wants to step into the ring. I have to look at the people with 30lbs of solid gold strapped around their waist. Why? Because those people might just have a chance at being on my level.

Carmen, who has been listening in, smiles and turns away.

Steve Thunder: On second thought, even they have almost no chance. I am a born champion, I am a born fighter. Do you think I come here to socialize? No. I come here because if there is anywhere this side of the border where i'm likely to get a good old fashioned brawl its in bars just like this one. There isn't a person on the WCF roster whose type I haven't met before. The high flyers, i've beat em'. The brawlers, i've beat em'. The technical fighters, i've beat em'. If I have to beat another rookie to the Federation to prove my worth, then thats exactly what I plan to do. If I then have to kick somebodies ass to get myself noticed faster, then believe me that is exactly what I intend to do.

Thunder looks away from the camera and down toward his nuts, then focuses his gaze on Carmen, who is busy at the other side of the bar.

Steve Thunder: Some people in this life don't deserve the path that they were placed on. Some people deserve more than what they could ever hope to have. So much drive, so much ambition, but no grounds in which to show it. I save these people, I help these people. I give these people hope with my actions. I'm not a millionaire, I don't drive fancy sports cars or date supermodels. Why? Because those aren't the reasons I want to wrestle. I wrestle to bring hope to every underachiever who watches, everybody who gets told they will never be anything. We get 1 chance at life, and not one son of a bitch in this world is ever going to take that away from anybody if I can help it.

Thunder snaps his head away from Carmen and back to the camera, complete focus and fire in his eyes.

Steve Thunder: Ace Garrison, you are a stepping stone. You are my way to excel, my way to free minds. People who watch this will see a regular guy, sat in a regular bar, just like the one that they sit in when they finish work and wanna have a drink before heading home. People who have nothing more in their lives, and they will see me on Sunday at SLAM! in a ring, infront of millions of people watching around the world, and it will inspire them. I'm just a regular guy who had the drive to accomplish my dreams for all the right reasons. Ace Garrison, what were your reasons?

Thunder pauses.

Steve Thunder: The money? The cars? The girls? The fame? The recognition?

Again, a pause.

Steve Thunder: You're just another guy. Unfortunately for you, and for your career here in WCF, your first match is against me. Instantly you lose any hope at a clean record you may have in this company. You will, however, always be remembered. When they look back at the first match that Steve Thunder ever competed in, your name will be mentioned and believe me Ace, that is the only reason people are going to associate your name with mine.

Thunder gets up out of his seat and straightens his jacket up.

Steve Thunder: I'd love to stay and chat, but I have business to attend to.

Thunder walks past the camera and along the face of the bar, as he passes Carmen he extends his hand and touches here briefly.

Steve Thunder: Always leave em' wanting more..

Thunder continues walking and heads out of the bar.

Voice behind the Cameraman: You here with anybody, loverboy?

A gulp is heard from the camera man, as we Fade to Black.

.:: In Closing ::.

Was this the ultimate introduction? No. Not by any means. This was a brief look into the persona and the drive of a new comer to the WCF, Steve Thunder. Where his story goes from here only time will tell. What decisions will be made by Thunder and by the WCF and its roster? Nobody knows, thats something that will be decided in time by fate.
