When my son turned 5 years old in 1990, our family purchased Seattle Mariners season tickets. By the end of the season my son was hooked on Ken Griffey Jr. He and I started collecting everything Ken Griffey Jr. from 1990 to 1997. We continued to collect at a much slower pace until my son graduated high school in 2003 in Phoenix, AZ.

After my son started college, he lost inerest in the collection and needed money for school and sold his half of the collection to me. I periodically sold and bought Griffey items for the next few years before boxing it all up until Ken Griffey Jr. was traded back to the Mariners.
