Indiana University

Beta Tau Chapter

Our Alpha Phi chapter at Indiana University is a group of fun-loving, smart, and social
sisters. Although we might all have different talents, majors, hometowns, and even
upbringings, each member of our house brings something great to the chapter as a whole.
We believe that our differences are what make us so close.

We have 126 members (Fall 2010) from 7 states and one other country too!
We are located at 908 E. Third St., Bloomington, Indiana.

Our Chapter of Alpha Phi supports Alpha Phi International in raising money for the Alpha Phi
Foundation. Through this campaign we are able to support the fight for women's heart health
through in-kind donations and also through education and word of mouth.

Did YOU know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women?

Each year, our chapter participates in the winter formal rush process in order to recruit new
members. Potential New Members (PNMs) have the opportunity to see all 19 sororities
on Indiana University's campus.

The first round of rush takes place during either October or November. We call this round
"19 Party" because PNMs go to all houses. Girls are then selected to go to certain parties for the
remaining rounds called "1st Invite", "2nd Invite", and "Preference Round." Our chapter of
Alpha Phi LOVES the rush process because not only do we get to meet lots of amazing
PNMs, but we also get to spend lots of time together!
