Dear Homeowners,
The Board of Directors has decided to remove the landscaped area between the B & C unit driveways and replace it with concrete to reduce maintenance costs. The cement will be a decorative finish and stained to match the bricks.
In addition, the street will be resealed in November and gutter coves will be installed to keep branches and leaves from clogging the gutters. THERE WILL BE NO TOWING AT ST. ANDREWS DURING THE CEMENT AND SEALING PROJECTS except for vehicles that block access to the road or park on the grass
To fund the projects, each unit will be assessed $150.00. The onetime charge can be paid in two payments or in one payment. The payment schedule is : $75.00 due Nov. 28th and $75.00 due Dec. 26, 2008. The budget report:
- 2009 budget is under review and the objective is to keep expenses at $480K, a reduction of $24K from 2008.
- The only unknown budget cost is insurance. A major increase in premiums could impact the budget. The board is in the process of researching insurance costs.
- The reserve account was moved to First Federal in order to make sure all H.O.A. funds are covered by FDIC insurance. This was done prior to the financial banking crisis.
- The H.O.A. is owed about $25K from owners and the board is in the process of taking legal steps to collect the funds.
H.O.A. News Letter
